It was a frustrating couple of days for the players and the devs of Elder Scrolls Online, as the MMORPG’s servers were knocked out for nearly 24 hours thanks to a datacenter power failure. Now that the game is back online and functioning, ZeniMax Online Studios has confirmed the recompense players will get for the outage.

The ongoing ESO Plus trial will be extended by one day, ending instead on December 20th, while the first two days of login rewards for January will be enhanced; players can look forward to nabbing 1,000 seals of endeavor on day one and five XP-boosting scrolls on day two. The studio also thanked players for their patience and their messages of encouragement during the SNAFU.

In other ESO news, fans are invited to tune in to an in-game rendition of A Christmas Carol performed by the guild Vanquish. The play is being hosted on the MMO’s official Twitch channel, meaning players can both earn themselves some Twitch Drops and get into the holiday spirit by watching an ESO-ified version of the classic story. The performance will begin at 8:30 p.m. EST on Friday, December 20th.
