Star Wars Galaxies rogue server SWGEmu begins a three-part video series about its history and development

While much of the attention of the Star Wars Galaxies fanbase arguably aims in the direction of rogue server SWG Legends, there is another major player in the multitude of emus for this game: SWGEmu, which is coming back to the foreground at the close of 2024 with the start of a two-part video series that looks at the fan project’s past, present, and future.

Episodes one and two of these video diaries have been released at the time of this writing, with the devs of the rogue server set looking back on how the rogue server got off the ground with help from volunteers and operators of other emus, as well as the variety of updates and servers that were opened along the way, including the recent 1.0 milestone and the Finalizer server, though the staff excluded the community dust-up over finances that our readers are likely familiar with.

As mentioned earlier, the final video promises to outline the future of SWGEmu’s update plans, but for those who want a retrospective now, those episodes await below.
