‘Conquest adventure’ MMO Havenhold shares stats and lessons from previous alpha playtests

Do you remember Havenhold? We first reported on this martial arts-styled “multiplayer conquest adventure” MMO (or MMOACT to use the game’s own parlance) last June: It promises a wide blend of PvE activities, PvP conquest, and a player-driven economy, all with a directional combat model and the ability to swap martial styles. The game was prepping for a second closed alpha test this past June.

Since then, things have been a bit quiet on the game’s front: Developer Wolfpack Games posted a vlog about what it learned from the June alpha, including adjustments to block controls, improving tutorials and early progression, and adding ways for players to form groups outside of dungeons.

Past that, there was a look at one of the game’s martial styles in August and a Chinese-focused playtest in September that ran for three weeks, which granted the studio some data to share in an infographic the following month.

Since then, Havenhold hasn’t provided any updates or news, simply stating in its last dev blog that more information about the next playtest will be shared soon. Chatter in Discord doesn’t provide any further details, so it looks as if information will be shared fairly widely beyond an insular chat program.
