Ethyrial Echoes of Yore adds ironman modes, visual updates, inventory improvements, and leaderboards

It’s time once again for our semi-regular check-in on Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore, the sandbox MMORPG that keeps up its plucky updates and efforts to right its disastrous early launch, and the month of March had another round of new additions and improvements to track.

The beginning of the month saw the addition of ironman and hardcore ironman modes, the former forcing players to play without partying, trading, or interacting with others, while the latter effectively is permadeath-like as a defeated character would revert to a standard ironman character.

The middle of the month introduced improved lighting and new multi-directional animations for weapons along with some new items and a new elite zone known as Sporehaven, while last week’s patch provided multiple new leaderboard features, improvements to inventory UI, a new area, the new troll sage enemy, and an “experimental” method for increasing render distance.
