What better way to celebrate the playerbase of EVE Online than to have them fight enemies and each other for unique goodies? That’s right, today marks the start of the Capsuleer Day event, which as we reported earlier has a Drifter Crisis theme weaving all throughout.

Between now and May 6th, players can gather up some login goodies (with more offered for subscribers), then take up various missions of all kinds, including two new combat zones known as the Labyrinth Complex and the Nexus Point and new exploration sites in k-space, on top of activities for industrialists, traders, and hackers. Naturally there will be various rewards such as ship skin designs, implants, and high-end faction and officer loot.

The Capsuleer Day event is also marking the finale of the Drifter Crisis, with CCP Games promising that it will all come to a head on the last day of the event. Until then, there’s a bunch of activities to get in to and shinies to collect.
