If the vagueness of when VR MMORPG Eldramoor’s plans of when it would begin alpha testing this month weren’t already a hint that timing would shift, we can now confirm that timing has indeed shifted: The game’s first alpha test is indeed delayed, but it also now has firm calendar dates, starting on Wednesday, April 8th, and ending on Monday, April 20th.
The announcement from Resolute Games also detailed what players can expect in this alpha build, including four regions’ worth of questing, monsters, and loot; fishing, cooking, and smithing professions; and the promise of secrets to uncover. The studio also lets players know that this build is a true alpha and will feature bugs and other busted experiences.
This does mean that access to the alpha test is still open and available for purchase for those who shell out $60, which will also grant access to beta testing and the full MMO’s release, but Resolute continues to assert that spaces are limited for buying in. while a couple of additional smaller tests to prep for alpha are still planned.
In related news, Resolute CEO Lynn Souza made the sad announcement that her mother had recently passed away, which she explains is why she hasn’t been as active in the MMO’s Discord recently. Still, she assures fans that she is working with the team to make the game happen and thanks fans in advance for their well-wishes, though also asks they not be sent directly primarily because she knows she’ll read and respond to them all and not get any work done. To that point, we extend our condolences to her and her family for the loss.
