The folks over at MMO Central have posted a couple of interviews with Standing Stone Games that sheds some additional light on Lord of the Rings Online’s future. There’s some exciting nuggets of news here, such as the fact that Rohan housing will contain hooks for player mounts, low-level players will be able to visit high-level areas via a new Missions feature, and the promised Aragorn/Arwen wedding actually will be a yearly event.
Even more exciting is that SSG is teasing a new type of legendary server and a Hobbit race variant named River-Hobbits. Hobbit lovers who have been itching for new class combinations may have something to be excited about when their cousins arrive.
There’s also a chat with LOTRO and DDO Composer Bill Champagne, who talks about his favorite compositions and themes in the game.
It should also be noted that the Minas Morgul expansion and Stout-Axe Dwarf race now are available in the LOTRO store, which is good news for those thrifty players who have been saving up their LOTRO Points for this very occasion.
