It’s pretty easy to assume a dungeon called Mad Run would be dangerous, but just in case you needed confirmation that Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen’s big ticket feature for its second pre-alpha “season” will be offering pain aplenty, then there’s some fresh gameplay video designed to ease your mind. Or fill it with concern, depending on your point of view.

YouTuber Redbeard Flynn was joined by creative director Chris “Joppa” Perkins to wander into Mad Run and the area surrounding it and mostly die to spiders. Along the way, Perkins explains how Mad Run is meant to better illustrate how Pantheon party play works, particularly in regards to ensuring that crowd control is “a primary role […] that needs to be considered” in a party makeup.

There’s also a lot of hay made about the depths of Mad Run from a visual and design standpoint, with tight corridors and walls meant to sow confusion among players, as well as confirmation that spider webbing within the caves are planned to slow players down in the future. Perkins also once again talks about the reception of seasonal updates, as he remarks on how people feel a more solid title and more players are streaming and playing since seasons began.

The video is one of several planned that cover a full two hours’ worth of gameplay and discussion, so strap in for about 30 minutes of Mad Run below the break.
