This week is opening the opportunity for Destiny 2 players to become Godslayers. That’s the rather dramatic hook for the game’s latest update, which has introduced the Pantheon boss rush activity to challenge those eager to fight successively harder bosses. Because that’s what a boss rush mode is.
As we’ve reported before, Pantheon will start off by pitting player teams against four of the game’s raid bosses in its first week, then ramp up the number of fights to a maximum of eight by its fourth week. Rewards awaiting the victorious include adept raid weapons, exotic gear, completion of certain triumphs, and the Godslayer title for those who earn platinum scores.
This week’s patch has otherwise made several adjustments to how special ammo works in the Crucible, along with some fixes to Onslaught, the mission to get the Whisper exotic, and certain weapons. Bungie is also kicking off its Cosplay Cosmodrome that will showcase some of the shooter’s best cosplayers over the coming weeks.
Who says you can't teach old foes new tricks?
Assemble your fireteam and defeat remixed Raid encounters. The Pantheon is live now.
