MMO sandbox Fractured bumps launch to later in the summer than anticipated

Last night on Discord, Dynamight Studios’ Jacopo Gallelli apologized to Fractured fans, telling them that among the eight-person staff, he was the person who was supposed to handle community relations – and that he’d dropped the ball over the last two months owing to personal reasons. But that’s changing. “I’m back. 100%,” he wrote, vowing more details today.

And those details have now arrived in the form of a timeline for what to expect in the rest of June and July, leading into the game’s official launch.

For starters, tomorrow – June 21st – Fractured players can expect the game’s cash shop and VIP sub system to go live. At some point next week, Dynamight will be announcing the release date, though the devs are already warning that “release will be happening a bit later than planned” in order to “prevent [the] launch from overlapping with the events of some competitors.” This is a smart idea, as earlier this month, the devs were eyeballing the end of June or early July, which obviously has a lot of MMORPG competition.

Over the course of July, players can also look forward to new videos and blog posts on Genesis rewards, the new PvP ruleset, divine favor, new summoning system, the revamped tutorial, and possibly the city progression mechanics too. Either way, the team appears to be suggesting a late July date for launch, at least based on this timeline.
