Trove finally rolls out its spring and summer updates on PS4, Xbox, and the Switch

If you’re a fan of Trove as I am, you’re surely aware of the dark cloud that’s been hanging over the console version of the game for a good long while now. While PC players have been treated to a consistent and strong outpouring of patches and events basically all year, console fans haven’t seen the same love. As we noted at the top of July, consolers rarely get events at all and usually get content updates long after PC players have already torn through the patch.

Gamigo addressed that earlier this summer as the game turned nine years old, suggesting that it would be doing a speedrun of events on Xbox to make up for the lapses. And now, consolers are finally getting the Rising Tides update and Gear Up!date updates – the summer and spring updates for PC, respectively.

Rising Tides expanded the voxelbox’s water and boating content with an all-underwater biome, added a new dungeon, implemented a new difficulty tier, and rolled out new a monster type, while the Gear Up!date added a new gearcrafting skill, worked in dynamic loot, and tried to balance Uber drops.

These updates are live for Xbox One, PS4, and the Nintendo Switch. Happy patches day!
