Have you felt that the conquest mode map in SMITE 2 could do with some graphical touching up? Your thoughts have been heard by Hi-Rez Studios, as the developer of the MOBA has provided a look at some visual upgrades coming to the map.

The map update in question appears to be more than just a little spitshine, as it looks to improve or replace several textures, enhance lighting, and even replace or add assets in a few cases. A timeline for these additions isn’t provided and the video points out that art is not final, but it certainly is something fans can keep their eyes on in the video embed below.

The map update is just a starting salvo for Hi Rez’s plans to continually update the recently launched 24/7 closed alpha, as the studio’s “general roadmap” plans to add two new gods every three weeks, reintroduce modes like joust and duel, improve onboarding of new players, and a vague promise of more progression systems. Beyond that, the game has put out a video breakdown for the character Jing Wei and promised the return of an “explosive” objective for conquest mode.
