Survival MMO Myth of Empires teases its upcoming Persia DLC, due out this year

We haven’t gotten a whole lot of information about Myth of Empires’ next DLC, the Persia-themed expansion for the popular survival MMO, but Angela Game has begun to peel back the curtain this month. The studio has released a blog post on the new map and its gamified attributes, along with a set of new cityscape images.

“Nearly the entire region is covered in desert, with only a few scattered oases offering signs of life – this land is a vast and unforgiving one,” the team writes. “Nevertheless, this desert borders multiple other civilizations, and many soldiers are stationed here. Despite years of war, none of these civilizations have managed to completely conquer this place. They’ve each built their own strongholds and fortresses to fend off enemy invasions, at the same time fighting skirmishes against hostile indigenous tribes, but the situation overall is one of stalemate.”

The post promises a “vast underground” for treasure-hunting, plus “new animals, equipment, weapons, and tools” as players will “utilize wind and fire to generate energy, use gunpowder-based items, employ methods of transportation for use in special environments, and build massive structures.”

We don’t have a hard date for the launch, but the team says to expect it at the “end of this year.”
