So is the Deathless Circle in EVE Online the protagonist or antagonist of the game at the moment? That’s going to depend on how each player looks at things. The new Mercenary Tactical Operations have been enabled by the Deathless and allow for more fine control of labor on a planet, so that might be seen as a good thing, but they’ve also deployed several listening posts to aim through planetary defenses, and those posts are under attack. Players can choose to defend them… or assault them instead and loot valuable passkeys off the wreckage. The choice is yours.
The same set of events is also verging into EVE Vanguard, which will offer special rewards to both capsuleers and ground-based players from November 28th through December 1st. So if you’re looking for tactics that both spark wars in orbit and on the ground level, well, here you go. Who doesn’t love a good set of mercenary conflicts? There’s money to be made in them, at the very least.
