Last September saw the final content update for Crema Games’ “MMO-lite” Temtem, with the game entering into maintenance mode while the studio shifted most of its attention to co-op bullet hell title Temtem: Swarm. That maintenance mode has continued with the MMO’s latest patch, which also prompted us to check on how both games are faring on Steam – and that brought to light some interesting data.
As of this story’s writing, Temtem the MMO has over 400 players on the platform and a 24-hour peak of just over 600. In comparison, Swarm has about half as many players in-game and has had a 24-hour peak of nearly 400. All-time concurrency is lower too: 39,572 versus 3,064, though of course the MMO has been alive longer than the co-op shooter.
As for that latest MMO patch, that has mostly been about balancing Tem critters in PvP as well as their techniques and traits, applying several bug fixes, and adjustments to Randomlocke mode, a specific challenge, and dojo park entrances, all of which should ideally keep those still holding a candle for the MMO active.
