Being in one of
Guild Wars 2’s WvW maps has long meant that
you can run, but you can’t glide. Unable to briefly defer the pull of gravity, you are forced to walk around on your own two feet, like an animal. But not for much longer; the game update coming on August 8th will carve WvW maps into territories, and
within territories controlled by your faction you can happily glide about to your heart’s content. Of course, you won’t be able to glide in other territories, so… if you see people plummet from the air at the border, that’s why it’s happening.
PvP and WvW armor will also be getting upgrade options to legendary armor versions in the AUgust 8th patch; you won’t get new skins, but you will get all of the other benefits of having legendary armor. That means all the stat-swapping fun you could ask for, and you didn’t have to step in a raid to do it! Unless you consider watching people fall out of the sky because they glided too far to count as a raid.
