Trove plans a stress test event to celebrate the end of beta

Yes, in this case it's appropriate to break things with gusto.

Trove is really leaving beta for real, and to celebrate, the developers want players to break the servers tomorrow. If necessary. Ideally, the servers will handle any load without so much as flinching. But the goal is to have a stress test on June 25th, and if you aren’t naturally inclined to flood the game’s servers with login efforts to see how they hold up, you can be motivated to do so via rewards.

Every player who logs in during the end of beta event will receive a Flask Coin to unlock any Flask or Emblem from the game’s store for free, and players at 30+ Mastery will also receive five piñatas to smash open for more goodies. If the stress test does break the servers, you’ll still get your items for the attempt, and if it doesn’t… well, now you have items and a stable game to play. Win-win!

From personal experience the challenges are already stressing the servers.

I see ping doubling while a challenge is ongoing, and drop back to “normal” once the 20 minute dungeon rush is done…

It’s Minecraft meets FreeRealms. If you love either or both those games, you’ll love Trove. Otherwise it’s just mediocre, imo.

I’ve been trying to get a character to 20 for the free Budgie mount in Rift, and I’m having trouble figuring out what all the fuss is about. Basic mechanics feel poorly implemented and archaic. Animations look horrible. Locking playable classes behind the shop is irritating (hope you like the first class you picked! because you’re stuck with it until you unlock something else…. gross).
That Budgie mount is totes adorbs, but isn’t feeling worth the effort. Unless of course someone knows of a xp-exploit…

I was invited to CB1 and played a couple of weeks. Sadly I do not like this game but they keep trying to get me back into it. I do not like minecraft either. As a kid I didn’t use lego’s much either I played with Erector sets. It just isn’t my thing.
