Skyforge plans major post-launch patch

Skyforge’s shaky quasi-launch is starting to settle down, as the team has added more hardware and improvements to increase server stability. Even better, the devs have announced that they’re hard at work for the next major patch, which should be coming soon.

Patch 0.65 will add several new and improved features to the game, including 10-player distortion arenas, large-scale invasion events, five-player anomalies, two 10-player raids, guild tweaks, and a divine form for player characters. If that’s not enough, the team said that there’s even more that will go into the update by the time the patch notes come out.

Skyforge handed out three days of premium membership to all players this past weekend as compensation for its login and latency problems.

Nreff DrowNoble Madda Again, not really the “lockout” is basically saying “if your prestige isn’t this or higher you’re gonna get rolled in here”.

It’s an overall measure of your power, based off gear equipped, gear level and skills acquired.  It’s nothing like “I’m a level 100 warrior”.

Nreff DrowNoble Madda Sure if you want to call gaining +5 Might is “gaining a level”.  It would be more accurate to call it an overall measure of your power.

Cromica1 After completing the Training Room mission the first time you get a free costume of the class you just trained with.  As you progress, you’re weapon will start too look different but not hugely so (at least for me so far).

You can change your style at any time without penalty too.  There is a “tailor” in the Observatory that can change more things too, even your gender.  First session with her is free, rest will have a cost.

RooWoods Benthalak The Enhance Player Experience only helped TSW.  Even though I been playing it since beta, I didn’t feel “cheated” that they made things (supposedly) easier for new players.  Getting more people to play only benefits everyone.

Radfist Rheem Octuris chriskovo  You don’t have to pay to be in open beta now either. The kinds of perks in the founders packs are equivalent to preorders and CE’s. And while there are microtransactions you can freely convert credits to argents and back, which is unique even among f2p games.

Benthalak It was definitely the smoothest in a long time. A few issues on the first day (for me, not my bf though), but it got sorted like the next day.

Nordavind Cromica1 I understand that Stats> looks. Its just really hard for me to play games that my characters always look the same in (I quit neverwinter because of lack of armor options), and the majority of costumes I have seen look terrible IMO

gel214th Totally agree with this. Make sure you read everything, basically your entire path to the class you want or you might end up like many; frustrated and quitting because of it.

I made the mistake, putting money down on the game thinking I could start with any class I wanted. When I found out I couldn’t and was told I needed to grind a bit to get to the class I wanted, again, no big deal. Then I found out that to unlock both classes I wanted, I would be stuck grinding for 3+ weeks on a class I didnt’ even like playing, I was pretty peeved.

I won’t say buyer beware, but I do like that game for the most part ( i just really dont’ like the three starter classes), but do realize what you’re getting into before dropping money.

Did you give the Training Room a try? You can try out all the classes in there and see how they play out. I found the classes to have plenty of combos.
