Get a sneak peek of ArcheAge’s 2.0 patch notes

Curious what ArcheAge patch 2.0 will look like when it finally arrives later this summer? One helpful fan has translated the Russian patch notes into English for a detailed list of the update’s features.

The notes include details on lots of new guild functionality, such as the new guild leveling system, guild wars, guild quests, guild shops, guild applications, and the integrity system. This post is brought to you by the word “guild!”

Of course, it should go without saying that what you read here may or may not be what exactly makes it into the North American and European version of the game. When 2.0 hits, Trion will be monkeying around with “evolving” the servers, so players will want to pay attention to any potential merges and transfers impacting their characters.

Rohirrim Pve servers in archage don’t really make any sense, since the entire game is based on the high-risk / high-rewards system. Without the potential danger from other players when crossing / roaming the ocean it would be a completely flat and pointless experience, the whole game and economy revolves around it.

I normally hate pvp, but it’s very well executed in archage in my opinion.

On a sidenote, is there any info on when AA will add a new race? It’s been what, 2 years this game ia already out? And since there are already 2 new races confirmed (dwarves and those “dragon people”), i think it’s about time they introduced them in the game.

Armsbend MorpayneRADIO The problem is is AA isnt about questing. You were playing the wrong game if your interests are questing.

Once they add dwarves, I’m in.
Until then, I’m sick of humans, elves and cat people.

If I’m classified as a Trino/AA hater then I’ll embrace the label. I’ve only been playing MMOs for about 16 years and this is the first game continues to stir up a bunch of different emotions after having quit playing about 6 months ago. I had a blast in Alpha (played about 4 months) and another 3 months of live but the way to many negatives piled up and the release of the p2w rumble trees rng boxes, throw in a couple bungled patch releases and my entire guild that had so much fun in alpha and was at “end game” in live quit the game. /sigh To many times Trino have officially stated that emergent gameplay trumps ruining people’s fun or ability to play, imo translation – If it costs a player meh, if it costs Trino money incoming ban hammer.
I didn’t charge back the money I spent even though the discount versus bonus amount received is a bait and switch since it impacts the total amount of real money spent versus amount of in-game merchandise.

Rohirrim I don’t want AA to fail (at least in my life time), but I agree with the spirit of what you are saying.  The idea that ‘sandbox’ has to mean ‘open world pvp with rules that encourage ganking and being mean spirited to other human beings’ seems incorrect at best; manipulative at worst.  Like ’emergent gameplay’, it’s a hijacked term at this point.
I would personally love if the entire world were PvE with PvP limited to specific events, times, areas, locations, etc.

But, I make the best with what I have, and muddle along farming and trading and making t-shirts and building cars and setting goals for myself all outside PvP.  So the patch notes don’t mean too much to me.  While my server isn’t on the list now for merging, I’m concerned it will be by the time it approaches, and I probably won’t play if I can’t have my (24farm 2x24gazebos 16farm connected) and 24breezy.  Wouldn’t be much point since that’s my only game play.  Would greatly miss my toons.

Styopa Hi,

Do note that this is just the part about guilds. More information should be coming up about other features and classes.
But as you said I do hope to see a new zone and etc as you said.

DahkohtLewin  Those that dealt with the malarkey they dealt with Defiance pretty much knew AA was just going to be a mess.
