Are you worried about the health of Blade & Soul? With any import title, it’s easy to wonder if the game is going to fold unexpectedly in its native land and leave fans without any further development. So the sight of the game’s upcoming Korean patch should be a source of comfort if you weren’t already excited by the though of more story for the game along with a whole new class to play.
The class itself doesn’t appear to have a name at the moment, although it’s meant as a hybrid of the game’s Force Master and Kung Fu Master. You can check out a trailer for the patch (along with a few quick shots of the new class in action) just below; there’s no word on when all of this is coming to the American version of the game, although considering that version hasn’t launched yet, we’d argue smart money would be on “not for a couple of weeks at least.”
That section in the middle with the class roulette is another special floor for Mushin Tower, the high difficulty solo dungeon. Easily the part I’m most excited for. The AI there looked harsh. Probably the closest thing we’ll ever see to PvP in PvE.
xPhenomen ManastuUtakata They do, actually. They only have four playable classes in total (if you include Warlock, which we won’t get at launch anyway). Three out of those four are ranged classes. The game has a serious dearth of melee options for Lyn, hence the abundance of blade dancers.
Of course, both Gun and Yun are also in need of more classes, but they are also far less popular than both the Jin and Lyn are (see:Â http://www.bladeandsouldojo.com/news/246-what-main-class-will-you-pick-on-na-eu-launch/). I know there is some room for arguing “but it’s BECAUSE they don’t have class options that they’re unpopular!”, but basic common sense will tell you that, well, yeah, of course players like playing as cute things and plainly attractive people more than they do HULK SMASH and dainty elfin women. (And besides – with the first, second, and fourth most popular classes being Yun playable and Yun still being behind by that much? I can’t blame them at all if they just pretend they don’t exist.)Â
But I am probably just being selfish because I like Lyn but don’t like playing any of the ranged classes and just want more ways to beat people up in melee combat as a tiny cute thing.

…Lyn can’t have enough classes IMO. <3
Here is some inspiration for any budding Asian “artists” working on a video game:
ManastuUtakata like Lyns need even more classes =
/me hands over a ‘t’.
More importantly, it looks like the Lyn can play it. <3
