Final Fantasy XIV’s Fan Festival tickets sell out within hours

A year and a half ago, Final Fantasy XIV hosted a fan festival in Las Vegas, and the process for buying tickets was… not optimal. Let’s say that. This year, the ticket sales were handled much more efficiently, with a code going out to current subscribers to allow for early purchase, buying limits imposed, and a better queue system. And it worked! And now all of the tickets are gone, sold out within hours of going online yesterday.

If you’re one of the fans who snagged a ticket, you can look forward to fun on the ground in Las Vegas. If you didn’t manage to grab a ticket… well, that’s all right too; you’ll be able to buy premium livestreaming options that still offer all of the same in-game rewards. You’ll just have to wait a little bit and deal with the sorrow of not actually flying out to Las Vegas. Presumably. You could buy the livestream and fly to Vegas anyway, but it’d be kind of silly.
