Maybe you’re upset with the class changes in World of Warcraft. Maybe you’re disappointed with character balance in Overwatch. Maybe you have specific heroes you want to see in Heroes of the Storm who keep getting passed up. There are lots of reasons why you might be upset with Blizzard Entertainment, but odds are that you can probably agree that threatening to harm people at the company is not an acceptable thing to do. Stephen Cebula of Sacramento, CA, is accused of thinking otherwise, and now he’s been arrested.
Cebula allegedly made a number of threats about arriving to the company’s offices with an AK-47 and causing a “disturbance.” Those threats were enough to dispatch officers to take him into custody, with his arraignment currently set for July 26th. Should he be found guilty of the charges leveled against him, he’ll be facing up to five years in prison and up to $250,000 in fines, although final sentencing would depend upon a variety of factors and he has not yet been convicted. Still, though, maybe you shouldn’t threaten to hurt people because you’re unhappy about a video game. That seems like a safe idea.
