EVE Online kicks off its somewhat festive Yoiul festival

Merry Shipsmas.
In many ways, it’s got to be hard to celebrate Christmas in the world of EVE Online. After all, the weather isn’t getting colder, nor will it ever get colder; you’re in space, and space is always cold. There’s also very little spirit of giving, since the player culture probably holds that Santa Claus breaks into your home and steals all of your stuff. But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the festive benefits of the season with the game’s Yoiul festival.

Players can fly through systems and take on Rogue Swarm Nests to earn more Glacial Drift SKINs and valuable loot. You can also pick up fireworks from The Agency as a reward for clearing out these various sites. If that’s not enough, you also have discounts on a number of Glacial Drift SKINs in the in-game store, so you can compensate for poor luck by giving the developers some money. That’s not really what the spirit of giving is meant to be about, but at least it’s not Santa ganking your mining ship.
