Riders of Icarus shows off new merchants and future content after a long silence

Bang.

It’s been a quiet year for fans of Riders of Icarus, so it’s probably for the best that the first words of the newest development blog is an apology for being so quiet. Apparently, there were issues with providing players with new stuff to do. What sort of issues? We don’t know, it doesn’t say. But it does confirm that new stuff is coming to the game, starting with the addition of the MacBain merchants. Take on MacBain quests, get MacBain coins, get powerful weapon crafting materials from the MacBains. And if you want to make references to The Simpsons while you do so, who are we to judge?

Moving forward, the development team has plans to implement the region of Turimnan, make improvements to Ellora’s Spire such as including a party mode, and make the Tempering system more straightforward and clear. Most of the future updates don’t have dates just yet, but we can hope that there will be quite a bit more happening this year than took place last year. Less quiet, at the very least.
