Stardew Valley’s multiplayer mode is heading to the Switch very soon

WE GO TOGETHER

After waiting for the Stardew Valley multiplayer mode to exist in any version of the game for half of forever – a wait exacerbated by the fact that about half of our staff longed for any chance to call playing the game part of our jobs – it seems that it’s now finding its way to every platform post-haste. The multiplayer mode has been submitted for approval as an update for the game’s Switch version, so while it still has to go through the approval process, it’s not going to take much longer.

This coincides with last week’s news that the game’s developer and publisher will be parting ways, but publisher Chucklefish will still be handling the game’s mobile and Switch versions, so there’s good reason for keeping everyone in the loop. Just a little while longer until you can play with your friends from the comfort of your own couch, or chair, or wherever you decide to take your Switch. (That’s kind of its big selling point.)
