Elder Scrolls Online Creative Director Rich Lambert has a letter up for the game’s community today, complete with a recap of the game’s content and community in 2018 and a big ol’ thank you for everyone who made it happen. But of course, you read these things not for the hugs but for the tea. Lambert brought you but a dribble.
“2019 is almost upon us, and it’s going to be a huge year for The Elder Scrolls Online,” he writes. “I can’t say too much just yet, and it is incredibly difficult to have to hold back details, but ESO will be 5 years old next year – a huge milestone for us and the community! As such, next year’s story and adventure will be something truly special for all Elder Scrolls Online players. We are so excited to be able to share it with you soon, and we can’t wait to see how you all put all the pieces together starting early next year.”
For comparison’s sake, ZeniMax announced Morrowind in January of 2017 and Summerset in March of 2018, so if Lambert’s tease is indeed for the next big game chapter, we’ll probably be hearing about it sooner rather than later. Got any speculation for where? I’ve got my fingers crossed for Hammerfell, always.
