The next major update for Blade & Soul, Legacy of the Hongmoon Clan, will be going live next month on March 13th, and while we don’t know a whole lot about it just yet, NCSoft has announced that it will be giving players a nifty Hongmoon Ascension pack full of useful items to commemorate the update’s release.

The pack, which players can register to receive on the game’s official site, contains a level 60 boost voucher “that will take any character to level 60,” an exclusive Hongmoon Ascension costume, as well as an XP charm, an Orb of Ascension, and more. Admittedly, it’s somewhat curious to offer an instant level-60 boost as part of the pack considering that one of the update’s major additions is going to be the increasing of the level cap to 60 in the first place, but hey.

The update will also include “all new class specializations, the Temple of Succession storyline, a new island full of rare beasts, the debut of the Lyn Warden, and more,” according to the official site. At any rate, players who want to get their hands on their Hongmoon Ascension packs will need to make sure they nab them by March 11th, so don’t wait too long.

And while players are waiting for the Legacy of the Hongmoon Clan update to drop, they can take part in a new “very special” PvP event called Shackled Isles, which is described as a “mayhem-filled 20-player, Battle Royale-style PvP event filled with boosts to help you emerge victorious, and challenging boss encounters added to the fray.” Those who emerge victorious from this martial arts bloodbath will earn “exclusive rewards and bragging rights.” The devs don’t specify when exactly this event will be going live, but they promise that more information is coming, so be sure to keep an eye out.
