Legends of Aria has two shiny new things this week: a new patch and a new community manager.

“My approach to community management is this – I want to be your greatest ally, your liaison to the talented folks who are bringing the world of Celador to life,” newly minted CM Liz writes in her first player address. “Part of my job is to be the voice of the developers to players – the other, equally important part is being the voice of the players to the developers. Your feedback is important to everyone at Citadel Studios. Much like the world is forged by players like you, the game itself is as well. While it make take some time to fix certain issues, and there will be certain requests that can’t be implemented, I promise that we will hear you. No matter what, I want all of you to feel valued and respected.”

The patch itself is primarily a bug fixing update, although there are several changes that aren’t just about bugs; for example, you can no longer put items into corpses, you can now start harvesting new targets without needing to move first, mounts are now barred from parts of Ruin Level 2, you can no longer tame dead critters, and tomatoes are now edible. There are some UI tweaks, too, including larger overhead chat!

I don’t think there was a big’good-bye’ moment either, just kind of quietly left. I admit I enjoy interacting with her, she’s a good CM (and person).

Hope winter has gotten better for you.

Agreed! Except perhaps for ‘Tweety-gate”;). but that was 19 years ago! Winter is better (coming? coughcough) and the year ahead is looking up!
