OrbusVR introduces new beta raid, new quests, and the snappily named G.R.I.N.D.I.N.G device

Virtual reality MMORPG OrbusVR’s latest update recently went live, bringing with it a new raid to beta test, over a dozen new quests, and the impressively backronym-ed Great Recombinant Introspective Never Dull Ingenious New Gathering (or G.R.I.N.D.I.N.G) device, along with a handful of class adjustments and other tweaks. Obviously the biggest new addition in the patch is that of the new Ruins of Guild City raid, which is now available in beta form for players to test and provide feedback on. In addition to the new raid itself, it also brings with it a new token system for raid loot, allowing players who aren’t lucky enough to get the item drops they’re looking for to save up tokens to buy them outright from a new NPC.

The update also introduces 15 new overworld quests, “including the Explorer’s League Output quest chain, as well as side quests involving the Brotherhood and more.” The new questlines are connected to the main storyline and “grant XP and another way for new and existing players to level up their characters.” And last, but not least, players can now acquire the G.R.I.N.D.I.N.G Device. While deployed, the device “will absorb essence from nearby monsters which you kill, storing up both XP and loot rolls based on the monsters’ loot table” until a certain number of monsters have been felled, at which point the device can be leveled up to earn bonus loot rolls and unique rewards. The Paladin, Shaman, Warrior, Scoundrel, and Musketeer classes have also received an array of tweaks, the full details of which you can find in the full patch notes over on the game’s official forums.
