Dungeons and Dragons: This is incorrect. The title should always be spelled with an ampersand.
Whopper Juniors: Thanks to an overly pedantic joke I will never not know that this should properly be written “Whoppers Junior,” and now you will never be able to not see that either, so ha ha ha.
Live-action Lion King remake: As there are no living lions, hyenas, or hornbills in this film, it is inappropriate to call it a live-action remake. The boar and meerkat, on the other hand, are genuine.
Barbara Streisand: This is incorrect. Her name should always be spelled with an ampersand.
Pop: It’s soda. Stop lying to yourself.
Deep-dish pizza: This should properly be titled “bread lasagna.”
What Are You Playing: Due to skyrocketing costs, it is now technically Pepsi-Cola Presents Quentin Tarantino’s What Are You Playing.
Bonus question: What’s your favorite sort of cake? No, pie is not a cake. Yes, cheesecake is a cake.
Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): Probably passive Pokemon Go, possibly active Wizarding World. Weekend is loaded despite the fact I’m still recovering from Anime Expo. If I die of overexertion, Bree already called dibs on my Asheron’s Call swag.
No Eliot, cheesecake is only cake when Cheesecake Factory makes it without a crust. And those are admittedly my favorite cakes, though flourless chocolate cake is freaking amazing too when made correctly.
Andy McAdams: I’ll probably continue leisurely making my way through the Shadowbringers MSQ and playing a little Rimworld on the side.
Favorite cake – either red velvet or carrot cake. Depending on the day, it can go either way.
Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): I’ll be away from my desk all weekend, both a good thing and a bad thing. Bad because I won’t get to play anything. Noooo, my poor harvesters and factories.
Definitely cheesecake, but not New York style – light and fluffy for me please, heavy on the graham cracker crust, hold the weird sour cream!
Carlo Lacsina (@UltraMudkipEX): It’s finally summer vacation! Ironically, I might not be playing MMOs to celebrate its arrival; I might actually try my hand at playing some Street Fighter IV. Why not V? Well because I got a free copy from a lootbox like five years ago.
As for cake? Well… my favorite cake is fish cake! I love eating it with kimchi fried rice and some Korean BBQ.
Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): Of course it’s still Final Fantasy XIV. No, I don’t need or want to do something else on top of that. I’m good.
When I was younger, my great-aunt would make butter cake on the regular. I’m not sure of the particular recipe she used, but she made it repeatedly, there was a fresh one there almost every week. Now, in terms of the best cake flavor, that was honestly probably not it – I’ve had more amazing individual cakes. But the most tangible and immediate sense that she passed away was the fact that her cake is gone, and so I really have to point to that as my favorite cake. It’s just a part of her in my memory, so powerfully associated that I’ll never forget it.
Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): I’ve been getting back into World of Warcraft lately, slowly cleaning up my quest logs and hoping that I’m actually progressing my character in some way rather than spinning my wheels. It’s actually been quite enjoyable, although I’m still more excited for Classic at this point. Other than that, my Dungeons & Dragons Online group should be assembling, Lord of the Rings Online has plenty for me to do in the Vales of Anduin, and A Plague Tale is begging to be finished.
Mia DeSanzo (@neschria): I will be playing Riders of Icarus and Skyrim this weekend. I am not feeling super great, so I am going to try to stay on the couch and play games.
Does tiramisu count as a cake? If not, I like a good chocolate cake with fluffy icing.
Samon Kashani (@thesamkash): As it turns out, I am actually no where near done with the ridiculous skyscale achievement collection. I’m beyond the point of no return, and I kind of hate myself a little for it, and Guild Wars 2 a little bit more for it. Alas, I’ll continue the journey just in smaller increments now. Other than that, I’ve been meaning to play some of those new solo dungeons in Albion Online.
Best cake is certainly German chocolate cake. But I’ll never turn down a carrot cake either.
Tyler Edwards: Now that I’ve finally beaten that wretched bug (mostly…), I hope to be back at D&D. On the PC, probably more Destiny 2. It’s already getting old, but I have still have some story content left to do. Might as well finish it off.
I’m not a big cake guy, but I do indulge in the occasional cupcake. There’s a vegan restaurant at the Eaton Centre that has pretty amazing cupcakes… God damn it, Eliot, now I want cupcakes.
