Elder Scrolls Online takes you on a date, shows off new housing, and hosts a massive memorial

I hope you don’t mind me getting personal, but how is your love life doing lately? Ooh, I’m sorry to hear that. At least Elder Scrolls Online is tossing you a bone with (and I am not making this up) Smolder Scrolls Online, an interactive dating experience. I’m sure you won’t click on that link, but if you do, best of luck.

On a sadder note, a respected ESO community leader named James999dylan passed away. His server assembled for a huge memorial to pay respects to the impact that he made on each attendee’s life.

Rest in peace. A member of the Ebonheart pact is gone and all three alliances pay Respect. from elderscrollsonline

And good news for housing enthusiasts: A pair of new properties are opening up soon, called Forgemaster Falls and Thieves’ Oasis.

If you have nothing better to do than to get a tour of these FABULOUS and CHARMING abodes, then go on a stroll through them with Elder Scrolls Online’s devs:

Smolder Scrolls? What in the world?! Hah, that makes me briefly happy.

It’s uh, tempered by the fact that a death and memorial notice are here in the same post, and I feel weird about that, but Smolder Scrolls is some hilarious and cool stuff. I did all three of the dates.

ESO is pretty good at continuing to do these little community extras like this outside the game. They’re fun for the players to take part in and they also keep people engaged with their product. Smart overall.
