Pantheon’s unique monster races are absolutely horrifying – in the best way

February and March have been pretty busy months for Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen. Don’t believe us? Then just take a peek at the producer’s letter for April, which basically condenses livestreamed updates for mid-February and March as well as offers a word about what’s happening at developer Visionary Realms this week.

Just in case you happened to have missed any of the referenced streams in question, the post recounts February’s tour of Faerthale, the look at stats and several new races in the beginning of March, and the most recent look at the Shaman and the mastery system this past week; feel free to click on any of those referenced links if you need the refresher, plus we’ve included a gallery of the creepy Skar, Dark Myr, and Archai below.

As for this week, the devs are working on things like new character animations, UI work, and zone development and content writing for pre-alpha five. The letter also closes with a note that backers whose pledge included the opportunity to name an NPC should be seeing instructions on how to submit their suggestions soon.

Monster archetypes? You mean the character models for the Dark Myr, Archai, and Skar? Those are player races, not monsters or archetypes.

I read and it instantly brought back good memories of when I played a Shaman in EQ2. I miss strategic healing in MMOs. Pantheon might just draw me in if its a return to that.
