The Stream Team: Meeting the family in Warframe’s Heart of Deimos
While Massively OP’s MJ had tried to plan on finishing the Deadlock Protocol tonight, she just can’t pull herself away from Warframe’s Heart of Deimos! Not only is there is so much story left to experience just in the main quest line (and that’s not even counting all the extra lore you learn as your rep increases), but she hasn’t been introduced to the whole Entrati clan yet. Join us live at 8:00 p.m. as MJ explores more of the landscape of Mars’ infested moon and meets the rest of the family.

What: Warframe
Who: MJ Guthrie
When: 8:00 p.m. EDT on Friday, September 4th, 2020

The show is over now, but we’ve embedded it here just for you. Don’t forget to check out our past streams and videos collection, and stay tuned for our next show!

Oh, and during the other stream I think the other team members weren’t shooting into the puddle because it’s just so hard to see on Deimos. Every time MJ turned into a puddle I know I instantly lost track of where she was, especially with so many Infested running around.

And I didn’t realize MJ was trying to ride the Velocipods until after we’d already caught them all. Son Tokens are *really* hard to get, so I think most players feel that they’re more valuable to catch than to try to ride. Sorry about that.

Also from rewatching MJ’s stream – if a face-hugger gets you, roll to shake them off. (Tap shift while moving.) Otherwise they’ll stay stuck to you until they suck all the energy out. :(

Daughter is still the most immediately likable character. The other family members can be a little more relatable once you’ve ranked up and gotten a bit more of the story, but even Grandmother feels a bit *too* self centered at the start. “What? Did someone put the entire solar system in danger by risking the Void Heart to settle a family dispute? That sounds terrible. I have no clue who could do such a thing.” (Hides necramech remote control behind her back.)

I’m sorry you didn’t get to finish the story on the main stream. I didn’t remember that all that was left was the mission turn-in with Grandmother. OnO

Once you finish the Deadlock Protocol, if you wanted to take a short break from story missions I have a spare set of the three mission keys to get the component blueprints for Grendel. The missions are… interesting. The gimmick is that the only mods that do anything are Augment mods, so everyone is at nearly the same power level. And Grendel is kind of fun to mess around with – eating every enemy in sight and then turning into a ball and using the buff to roll through a horde of Infested and scatter them like bowling pins is pretty funny (in my opinion.)

2 scintillants in 2 missions, truly the RNGods blessed this stream!
That’s the first time I’ve ever actually seen a free floating scintillant in game, they’re so rare that it’s not really worth the trouble to try and hunt them while fighting off hordes of Infested when you can just hope to eventually get enough as drops.

Daughter is still my favourite. But the more I learn of their family backstories, the more I’m warming to all of them – even that jerk Son.
