Guild Wars 2 preps tournament week, while community website Dulfy.net disappears

Guild Wars 2’s PvP scene is a lot like hanging out at the pool. Some players are content to sit on the sidelines, some want to dip their toes into the WvW water, and some fully dive into the full arena experience.

ArenaNet is hoping to tempt more players into the pool with its announcement of a week-long series of PvP tournaments. From October 6th through the 12th, every day will see additional tournaments, including deathmatch and stronghold.

This comes at the tail end of a fractal event that’s wrapping up on October 6th.

In Guild Wars 2 community news, we’re sad to see that noted guide and news site Dulfy has completely disappeared. While new guides haven’t been been posted for a while now, the site’s archives were invaluable and a great contribution to understanding the game. Though its archives can still be accessed on the internet, the original site will be sorely missed.

Update October 5, 2020
One of Dulfy’s sites is back now (with no explanation), so hopefully it stays that way. If not, DulfyReborn.net has been put together by another player to co-host the critical guide content that had gone missing. Thanks for the tip, Lisa!

Oh no!

I used to use Dulfy.net all the time, particularly her fashion section, where I could discover all armor and clothing styles of a game, and what dye channels they had. T_T
Her work will be missed.

What a shame, if anyone has an email or something for Dulfy I’d be willing to pay a year or chip in to keep her site up. There’s some much great info on there it would be a real shame to lose it.

Sad to see Dulfy go. The general sentiment is echoed here: the personality of the owner and the tone of the site were appreciated and invaluable for figuring the sometimes labyrinthine methods of unlocking and fully completing various content.

In other news, I’m looking forward to the drama over the cheating and fixing in the PvP scene as all the usual (cheating) suspects win as per typical, and continue to do so going forward in the future while ANet turns a blind eye. As usual. They say history is a circle…

I got plenty of use out of her guides back in the day. I’m very thankful for the hard work she and others put into them.

Man, I feel like I remember Dulfy facing some health problems or something, I hope she’s doing alright. Her site was an absolutely amazing gem of straight to the point guides for MMO’s and was regularly open when I’d play GW2 or other MMO’s. Damn shame to see it go, and while they’re still technically accessible I hope someone picks up the torch and runs with it….just not me, I’m the kinda dude that needs guides, not creates them : |

At some point shortly after she stopped updating, there was an update relayed through reddit that she was just busy with work/her actual career. It’s unfortunate no one else took it over or hosted her content after she abandoned it.
