The annual Halloween event has arrived in PlanetSide 2 as of today, and you get the vague sense that the designers really went all in on this one. Seriously, did you see that space pumpkin in the header? You need to shoot it for rewards, but one suspects that you’d be tempted to shoot it anyhow if you just ran across it in the wild. This is something which should not be. You have to destroy it, to keep the galaxy safe from… whatever it is. That’s important right now.
Of course, doing so and taking part in the overall event will provide you with progress along the latest directive, and naturally players will be able to earn their way to a variety of new rewards including grenades, ISO-4, and titles. There are also special costume items available in the Depot for those who want that extra seasonal flair while blowing up hideous pumpkin monstrosities. You know, if you needed extra motivation.
