Sometimes MMO developers and artists are so very good with creating welcoming and gorgeous zones that I think that I wouldn’t mind moving there. You know, if the taxes and school systems were good and I wasn’t in imminent danger of being eaten by a Level 3 Grue whenever I went for a hike.
There are several places that come to mind, but what inspired today’s topic is my sheer love for World of Warcraft’s Mulgore. That zone managed to capture the feeling of both the wide-open American West that I miss and summer camp. I wouldn’t want to live on Thunder Bluff, what with my fear of heights and a lack of handrails, but I wouldn’t mind tenting it up in one of the little villages.
