Phase two of the Elite: Dangerous Odyssey alpha has been pretty unstable if the patches applied over the course of the past week are any indication. To date, three hotfixes have been applied, all of which attempting to correct stability fixes for crashes and disconnect errors that have been cropping up during testing.
The most recent fix not only addressed these ongoing stability issues but also added fixes for an invisible wall found on station concourses and combat bonds paying out less credits than expected. The previously alluded-to hotfixes before that addressed a possible exploit where players could get inside a social space with weapons, balanced AI behavior for stealth missions, and fixed combat zones that were not engaging properly among other things.
We’ve been waist-deep in the Odyssey alpha since it first kicked off. You can expect our impressions for phase two soon, but in the meantime you can check out our impressions of phase one.
