Old School RuneScape players are dining on a feast of ashes and disappointment this week following the announcement that the anticipated Shattered Relics league is being delayed from November to January 19th, 2022. League III now will run through March 2nd.
Jagex said that the decision was made not because the league isn’t ready to go but rather due to the release and subsequent popularity of the recent Group Ironman launch. So why January instead of, say, December? Because it didn’t want to crowd up the holiday season with scheduling craziness.
“With Group Ironman being so new, the mode is still very competitive,” the studio apologized. “We recognise it can be massively disruptive to a group if half its members decide to go play something else for weeks. It’s important that we don’t break up teams just as they are getting started.”
