We’re going to not harp on the fact that we’re talking about another Lineage title and stick to the facts here: During NCSoft’s third quarter earnings call, the publisher offered some news regarding Project TL, which readers will recall is a wholesale reboot of Lineage Eternal that started back in 2017 (with Lineage Eternal itself being first announced in 2011. After ten years(!) of work, it appears that the game is heading for a global launch sometime during the second half of next year.
“In the future, NC’s new games, including ‘Project TL’, aim to be released simultaneously in the global market. CFO Hong said, ‘It is well known that NC’s main focus is MMORPG, but we are trying to develop various genres and IPs to expand our global customer base. he emphasized.’
While NC’s CFO has given a nebulous release window, a leaked GEForce NOW database has Project TL slated for arrival to the platform on July 21st, 2022. Obviously this should be taken with a grain of salt, but either way it looks like whatever this new Lineage title will end up being is coming next year.
