The Daily Grind: Which MMO inspires the most ragequits – not necessarily from you?

Today’s Daily Grind is inspired by an email from MOP reader Slava. “I just recently started Black Desert,” Slava says. “It was a bit masochistic, actually, because I read so many reviews warning how psychologically damaging it was to play even semi-casually. I learned that lesson quickly after my first PvP death. I’m usually pretty high constitution and high fortitude mentally when it comes to video game death. But there was something ‘keyboard launch out the window’ triggering in Black Desert.”

I don’t ragequit often; I do my best to just close down the game and walk away before I get to the point that I quit hard enough to never go back, though I am not always successful. Guild Wars 2’s Jade Sea meta, for example, made me pretty dang frustrated since winning it has much more to do with the strength of the 49 people in the PUG than on you. It wasn’t enough to make me vow never to go back, but even after finally succeeding, I was definitely soured on the experience.

Which MMO inspires the most ragequits, either from you or from others?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
