She’s in the kitchen, laughing at the oven
It seems there might be a gas leak
He’s not drunk, he’s dancing on a Datsun
Entertaining in the hot sun,
In the happiest vacant lot in all the world
World, world, world, world
Boldly going to the store for ice cream
She likes ice cream and that’ll make her happy
What a joy that everything turns out fine
While he does a soft-shoe routine on the roof of a car
In the happiest vacant lot in all the world
(At this point the song descends into repetitions of the word “world” repeatedly while calliope music plays and people intermittently laugh in the background. But not in a creepy way. It is very life-affirming and positive. If you’re feeling that this comes across as creepy that’s really a you problem in this situation.)
What Are You Playing has its finger on the pop culture pulse.
Bonus question: If you could live in any sort of landscape on the planet, where would you place your home?
Ben Griggs (@braxwolf): Mostly Eve Online with a sprinkling of World of Warships, depending on how burnt out I feel on the latter.
Bonus question: lakeside, no question. I’ve always loved the water but could never afford to live close to it
Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): I’ve got a Star Wars Galaxies Legends robot restock on deck, and after that I’m not sure where I’ll end up. City of Heroes, probably.
Given teleportation travel, internet, plumbing, food, and no environmental concerns? Somewhere very high in Monument Valley.
Chris Neal (@wolfyseyes, blog): I’m not really sure what I’ve got lined up for my weekend, honestly. I’m leaning a bit towards unplugging from online games for a couple of days, which generally means I sink into old, cozy, slow-paced comforts like Hardspace: Shipbreaker or Farming Simulator.
I wouldn’t mind living in a cosmopolitan part of a large city or in some cold woods. Two entirely divergent living locations, I know, but then I kind of oscillate between “cottagecore” and urban lifestyle in my dream housing moods. Of course, this assumes money is no object; the reality is I’ll probably die renting.
Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): Got a game to review this weekend, so that’ll take a fair chunk of my time; otherwise, usual antics in Final Fantasy XIV as I gear up for the upcoming holiday events and gently relax through the weekend, hopefully.
Where would I like to live? Secluded in the woods. Which is not actually all that far from where I live now, so… you know, I’m happy with that.
Sam Kash (@thesamkash): I’m still playing MultiVersus like an insane person. It is just scratching that itch right now so good. I’m also completing my Crown Pavilion festival dailies in Guild Wars 2. In my weekend morning gaming, I’ve finally completed Trek to Yomi on Ronin setting. That mess was a crazy difficult final boss. So last night I downloaded Fae Tactics. I’m not sure I’ll enjoy it much, but it looks cute and I did love Final Fantasy Tactics.
Bonus: I think I’d live near the Alps where the hills are alive with sound of music.
