Daybreak dropped a tasty roadmap for EverQuest II last night, and while roadmaps aren’t new at all for the franchise, this one’s the slickest we can recall in a very long time. Quite a few of the entries are devoted to unlocks of various raid zones and time-limited server content and the typical seasonal events, but there are some noteworthy bits:
- March sees Chronoportal updates and merges
- April brings the GU122 launch – “new raids, contested dungeon, quests, tradeskill content, collections, Overseeer Season 05, and more content for all playstyles” – and a new PvP TLE server
- May includes the merc AI updates
- August is the kickoff for GU123
- September ushers in the expansion prelude content, followed by beta and preorder in October
- November is the plan for the 20th expansion itself (as well as the game’s 19th anniversary).
Daybreak is also planning to launch a swag store this year and promises the DirectX 11 API port for “beyond 2023.”
