The Daily Grind: Do you like endless dungeons in MMOs?

When Elder Scrolls Online brings us Update 40 next month, it will become the latest MMORPG to feature some variation of an “endless” dungeon. The idea is to have an instance with a crazy high number of floors — perhaps infinite — that players try to climb before eventually succumbing. The gamer in me who grew up on this exact sort of design in Atari 2600’s titles approves.

Yet I’m kind of curious how appealing this is to MMO players. Do you like endless dungeons? Are you OK with never actually beating an instance? Is this seen as a great challenge or condescending busywork?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
