Waven’s newest season introduces a competitive PvE mode and an updated battle pass

Ankama’s early access tactical MMO Waven has started a new season, and much like other games from the studio, this one is having a little fun with time travel. The Lance Dur season has arrived with its first chapter, which is all about players taking the role of the titular legendary hero and his party to face off against the dark knight Cire Momore in an all-new game mode.

The Cire fight is effectively a competitive PvE survival mode that players can access daily through a time portal to play as Count Lance Dur, who comes with his own set of spells, attacks, and passives. This new mode will challenge players to climb the leaderboard, offering the top 100 players fragments, gems, and chests to exchange for cosmetics, while every participant in the mode will get at least 500 fragments. The new season also heralds a refreshed battle pass that now features weekly challenges to complete and can offer rewards like extra entries into the Cire fight.

This new chapter is the first of three that will be focused around Lance Dur, with follow-up chapters arriving in November and December and the full season running until sometime in mid-January. Meanwhile, the game has already seen a couple of smaller patches to address a couple of issues, while the larger patch notes for this latest content update can be found here.
