Good news! Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore is still seeing updates! Bad news, the developer Blankhans is still repeating its earlier intention of focusing on other games instead, and it’s even renaming its social channels to reflect as much.

According to the studio’s most recent blog post, the company has updated the URLs and handles of its Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and more away from references to Coreborn to the studio name itself to better reflect the fact that it’s not just about the survival sandbox.

“While we are definitely still working on Coreborn and providing new experiences on our roadmap, it’s not our solitary focus,” the company explains. “[O]ur social media handles and names now bear the name of Blankhans as the flagship behind our current-and-any-future titles.” On that point, most of its most recent social media posts are about its Hollywood Escape game within Fortnite.

Indeed, Coreborn has been getting content updates, albeit sporadically: The most recent one added the three week-long Season of Frostfall holiday event that covers the land in snow and adds a seasonal currency from monster drops that can be spent on a host of appropriate cosmetics. Other updates made to the survival RPG include the addition of bandit enemies and a new stagger mechanic at the beginning of this month, while the nocturnal monster-filled Dark is the Night update arrived this past October.

Taking the game’s overall temperature, recent Steam user reviews put it at “Very Positive” though it still sits at an overall “Mixed” aggregate, while its player numbers on the platform continue to be anemic.
