Our recent story about Tarisland having its release date currently sitting somewhere in the nebulous Shadow Zone reminded me that the game existed, which I completely forgot about. My own interest in the title stopped dead when all of the worst expectations I had (gender-locking, race-locking, terrible raid-centric design) were confirmed. Sure, the designers claimed they’ll eventually address some of those things, but you’ll forgive me if I don’t find those claims credible given they went into beta with those expectations in place, so odds are those unlocks are never happening.
But my interests are not those of everyone else, and I am sure there are people out there who are really looking forward to having this game launch for real. Are you one of them? Are you excited to see Tarisland cross the finish line and come out, either to play it personally or just because it’s another live title out in the world? Or do you forget it exists?
