Today is a big day for Myth of Empires, or at least it hopes it will be a profitable one, as the game’s newest Hellenic Civilization DLC has released, adding some Greek flavor to the survival sandbox. If we’re all lucky, that flavor will be gyros.

“This DLC sees the addition of Hellas, a civilization based on ancient Greece. Included in this DLC are new weapons, armor, buildings, musical instruments, crafting workbenches, and a new warship.”

It’s not just DLC that’s new to the game of course, as this week also brought an update that introduces a trial ground instance that lets level 30 characters earn points to spend in a new shop, adds several different items, and applies some new fixes and optimizations, while a follow-up patch changed the maximum civilization level from 30 to 20 and applied additional fixes.

The Hellenic DLC launch has also prompted the game to prepare some new era servers that will be opening over the weekend, and players are being encouraged to take part in some limited-time events that hand out login rewards and ramp up proficiency gain, XP earnings, and gathering rates.
