Daybreak’s DC Universe Online’s servers were offline a bit yesterday, but only for good things, as the Tides of War summer event and concomitant sales and boosts were patched on in for playing.
“The battle for the throne of Atlantis continues!” Daybreak says. “Ocean Master, Aquaman’s conniving half-brother, has rallied a force of mutineer Atlanteans in an attempt to displace King Arthur and take the throne! The Atlantean civil war has breached the waters of Metropolis. Collect Sand Dollars and visit the Atlantean Quartermaster in the House of Legends to exchange them for the latest seasonal Summer items! Track Tides of War in your Mission Journal and check the Events tab in the On Duty menu to battle for the Atlantean Outpost. Or alternatively you can now use the Warp Menu to head directly to the Open World Content by selecting Summer Seasonal: Ocean Master.”
Among the new rewards this summer are three new feats, two new emotes, sand, festival hair, a beach hat, and more than a dozen builder pieces for your very own stage. A long list of beachwear, sparklers, and outdoor deco is on sale too. Incidentally, one of the feats is called “Coarse and Rough.” We understood that reference.
