Last month the team vs. team FPS world was introduced to a new arrival in the form of Concord, a 5v5 shooter from developer Firewalk Studios and publisher Sony that promised fast-paced action, unique abilities, and mechanics that would be easy to learn yet challenging to master. If any of that sounded like your cup of tea, then you’ll want to pay attention to an announcement post for some upcoming open beta weekends for the game.
There will be two such tests for the game: a “beta early access” test running between July 12th and 14th, followed by a regular open beta from July 18th to the 21st. These tests will run for PC and PlayStation 5 players on both weekends, though the early beta will be available only to those who have pre-ordered the game, while the open beta will require a PlayStation Network account. Incidentally those who have pre-ordered Concord will be granted four extra codes so they can bring their friends along for the first test starting this weekend.
As for what content will be playable, both tests will feature all 16 members of the shooter’s roster, four maps, and three game modes, while the open beta will also add a new map and mode on top. Players can also collect some cosmetic goodies for participating and expect their progression to carry over between the two tests, but all progress will be wiped ahead of Concord’s August 23rd release.
Finally, the announcement has given minimum and recommended specs for PC players and posted a map of when game servers will open across the globe, so if you’re looking to kick the tires of this one, you’ll probably want to click on the map image below and read the announcement in full for those salient details.
