If Eternal Tombs, the hardcore MMO with live GM events, is going to make its goal of a 2025 launch, you’d expect to be seeing some sort of public playtests by the end of this year. And in fact, that’s exactly what Triune Studios hopes to make happen with some expanding public playtests in late August or early September.
Before that happens, however, an August 1st pre-alpha test will usher in a sizable new build with improved server stability, bug fixes, and zone improvements.
“After our first round of testing, there was a LOT to get done and this is easily our biggest milestone and development update,” the studio said. “To make up for this large length of development time, we’re going to let you explore five new zones in the next test instead of the originally promised three. You’ll be able dive into all sorts of new areas, mysteries, secrets, quests and events.”
One of these new areas is Ashen Valley, a dark land where cultists are sacrificing elves left and right and need a little sorting out.
